PFG’s Moneybarn, Vanquis & Sunflower teams, have all been named as finalists at Credit Strategy Awards

  • Moneybarn has been named as a finalist in the ‘Best Company to Work for’ and ‘Responsible Lender of the Year’ categories at this year’s Credit Strategy Awards.
  • Contact Centre team leader Liberty Garrett, based in Petersfield, has also been named as a finalist in the ‘Rising Star of the Year’ category.
  • Vanquis is up for two awards, ‘Best Marketing Campaign’ for the Walk Tall campaign and ‘Credit Modelling & Risk Team of the Year’.
  • The Sunflower team is also up for an award in the ‘Alternative Lender of the Year’ category.

Moneybarn has been named as a finalist for the ‘Best Company to Work’ for category in recognition of the high staff retention and engagement levels, and for the ongoing commitment to staff training and development. The ‘Responsible Lender of the Year’ category recognises lenders with a customer-centric approach to lending, and for products which ensure effective affordability measures and transparency for customers.

Commercial Director Bill Scotney said “Being named as a finalist for not one, but three awards at this prestigious industry event is a huge achievement. We’ve been named as a finalist for our approach to responsible lending and we’ve achieved this during a period of sustained change. This shows that we have never lost sight of our customers and demonstrates our contribution to the success of the Group. I feel incredibly proud that Moneybarn is in the finals

of the ‘Best Company to Work For’ category – this is testament to every single colleague who is dedicated to our customer and our purpose.”

Contact Centre Team leader Liberty Garrett has been named as a finalist in the ‘Rising Star of the Year’ category after an incredible journey during her first two years at Moneybarn.
Liberty was nominated in recognition of her outstanding QA scores, and her leadership skills when managing the implementation of the new complaints system.

Liberty said: “I feel really honoured to have been put forward, let alone shortlisted for an award, it was a huge surprise!
I started working for Moneybarn in September 2020 as an agent and after a year on the phones I was promoted to the position of Contact Centre Team Leader, which was such an achievement.
I could not have done it without all the support I had from Vicki, Devon and the other Team Leaders.”

Customer Director, Tom Allder led on the Vanquis Walk Tall campaign and was thrilled to hear about more industry recognition: “This comes hot on the heels of the recent Card & Payments Awards, where we were Highly Commended for this campaign. We know it landed really well with consumers and existing customers, but it’s great that it’s getting recognition across our industry too. Fingers crossed for the win this time.”

Celebrating Sunflower’s nomination for an award in the ‘Alternative Lender of the Year’ category, Commercial Director Steven White said:  “The team did an amazing job getting Sunflower to market last year, creating and launching a new product on a  new platform.  We have a long way to go  but it’s great to see Sunflower nominated for this award, fitting recognition of all the incredibly hard work everyone has put in since we started this journey.  Thank you to the whole team, and good luck!”
